Windows Defence Counsel is a rogue antispyware program that was designed by computer hackers in order to steal money from random computer users. The application warns about fake infections as it wants to create an illusion that your system is infected and later make you purchase a full version of Windows Defence Counsel.

Once downloaded, the program uses its fake scanner which pretends to look for infections. The program generates a list of infections that are supposedly detected o your machine. In fact these files are either files of your legitimate programs or they do not exist at all. However, Windows Defence Counsel will try to sell its program as tool to remove all infections.

If your system gets infected with this badware you will probably also receive a bunch of different pop up messages and security notifications. The purpose of these messages is the same – to make you think that your system actually has some problems and convince you into purchasing Windows Defence Counsel. Do not fall for this scam.
