Windows Risk Eliminator is a fake antispyware program that spreads on computers through a fake Microsoft Security Essentials Alert. The alert uses a name of Microsoft even though it has nothing in common with it. This way it expects to look legitimate and convince computer users they have infections in their systems. The alert warns that your system is infected with a Trojan and offers installing Windows Risk Eliminator to fix that.

Windows Risk Eliminator runs system scan as soon as you boot your computer. The scan is performed for a few minutes and then the program claims to detect a bunch of malicious files. In order to remove them, you are asked to pay for a license of Windows Risk Eliminator. The program explains that it’s the only way to solve this situation.

However, the truth is that Windows Risk Eliminator is not able to remove anything and it only wants your money. In addition to a fake scanner the program will also display tons of security notifications and pop up ads which will provide you fake information just to scare you into thinking your system is infected. Basically all your system will be completely destroid and you will hardly be able to do something. Windows Risk Eliminator expects to make you believe your computer is infected and then sell its useless product.
